In July 2023, HP Indigo announced their transition to a new PrintOS infrastructure, aiming to improve performance and scalability, add new parameters for data collection and to enhance security standards. This transition has significant implications for the current interface of your CERM MIS with the HP Jobs API.

Updated HP Jobs API interface available as from our CERM 7.30 version update

As part of this transition to a new PrintOS infrastructure any current running interface to the HP Jobs API server will have to be updated to match the new API endpoints.

To address the consequences of this HP migration project, we have developed necessary modifications to our MIS, now available in the CERM 7.30 version. Installing this update is crucial for all CERM customers using the HP Jobs API interface.

To ensure uninterrupted processes, it's important to install CERM 7.30 before the end of March 2024 since HP will stop the current infrastructure. Therefore follow a few simple steps to connect to the new API endpoint.

For guidance, CERM provides comprehensive online documentation including:

  • The CERM 7.30 release notes: here
  • Instructions for installing a new CERM version: here
  • The specific procedure described here to activate the new HP Jobs API endpoint after installation of the CERM 7.30 version.

These resources ensure a smooth transition to the new infrastructure, maintaining the efficiency and reliability of your CERM-HP Indigo integration.

If you have any questions or need any assistance activating the new API endpoint, don’t hesitate to raise a support ticket in our CERM helpdesk.
