As we continue to expand our product offerings and global footprint, we are seeking a talented and driven BI consultant to join our team and offer consultancy and implementation services on our Smart BI product.

Position overview

We are looking for a talented BI Consultant to support our customers in implementing our data-driven solution and enable them to gain insights, make informed decisions, and unlock the full potential of their data, coming from the software. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional customer teams and stakeholders to identify business needs, design and adapt BI solutions, and deliver actionable insights using cutting-edge BI technologies to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Report and dashboard development: create interactive, visually appealing and user friendly dashboards and reports in close collaboration with Smart BI customers to present complex data in a comprehensible manner.
• Self-service support: assist and support end users in creating their own dashboards and analyses using Smart BI.
• User training and education: provide hands-on trainings and demo’s to key users to sharpen their BI skills and enable them to effectively utilize the BI tools for their reporting needs.
• Customer satisfaction: contribute to the overall satisfaction of end users and report consumers by collecting their information and data integration requirements, and capturing potential Smart BI improvements. Share and discuss them with the BI team in order to tackle and solve them together. 
• Data governance: implement data governance practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulations.
• Stay current: keep up-to-date with the latest BI trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance the BI capabilities of the organization and its end users.

Qualifications

• Master in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Strong interest in (first) experience as a BI Consultant or similar role.
• Proficiency in using BI tools, preferably Power BI.
• Familiarity with data visualization techniques and best practices as well as UI/UX principles for effective dashboard design.
• Experience with MIS and/or ERP systems and the data they process.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, including presentation skills, to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
• Solid understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and SQL query optimization is a plus.
• Experience in the printing, packaging, or related industries is a plus.
• Fluent in English in speaking and writing, proficient knowledge of French is a plus.
