CERM is a Belgian software company, developing and implementing a niche-ERP/MIS for label and packaging printers worldwide (> 40 countries, > 400 customers). CERM is known in this market for its high-end product and the quality of its service.

After an MBO in 2020 CERM became independent and we are investing in our expansion through marketing, sales and product innovation. Today we have a team of 80 persons, a turnover of 10 MIO. 70 % of our revenue is recurrent and we are profitable.

Senior QA Engineer

There was a time where QA was not part of engineering and where QA was done after software was written. We believe that QA engineering is as much engineering as software development. On top of that we consider QA to be a team responsibility rather than a one-person job.

As we speak new teams are formed around strategic projects. As an organization we can use the advice, support and coaching of an experienced QA engineer on how to organize ourselves around QA, which frameworks to use and which tooling we can integrate in our CI/CD pipeline.

This person reports directly to the CTO as this role is crucial for the future success of CERM.

Job description: In this role …

• You will be an active team member of one of the teams as there is no better way to get feedback than by making your own hands dirty ;-)
• You will be coaching, facilitating and supporting other team members in the context of QA.
• You will be the driving force behind the QA guild.
• You are responsible for setting up the tooling, frameworks in the context of QA together with the other QA guild members.

This role might be a good fit if …

• You have at least 3 years' experience in automating QA in combination with a CI/CD pipeline.
• You have in-depth knowledge of QA methodologies, processes and best practises
• More particularly you have experience in testing API’s, back-end services, databases, messaging services and UI’s.
• You are proactive and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• You are diplomatic, hands-on, flexible and a great team player.

As the senior QA engineer you will be our mentor in the QA domain to elevate the QA maturity of the whole organization.
