When great minds meet, great projects are born — and LabelExpo Europe 2025 was the perfect stage to showcase one of them.

At this year’s event, ForLabels, MPS, and CERM joined forces to demonstrate how true collaboration between a software, hardware, and people can reshape the label printing industry through automation and integration.

ForLabels, one of the leading converters in Greece, is known for its continuous innovation and commitment to smarter, more sustainable production. During the event, their Business Planning Manager, Dimitris Kotsiviros, shared how ForLabels partnered with MPS and CERM to achieve one clear goal: streamline production through end-to-end automation.

By connecting MPS presses directly with CERM MIS, ForLabels can now automate data exchange in real-time — reducing manual inputs, preventing errors, and unlocking total visibility across the workflow. The result? Greater control, improved efficiency, and faster decision-making.

As Michalis Kiriakos, Operator at ForLabels, summarized during the interview:

The software - CERM - that we’re working with at our company is really great. It saves us time. It increases our productivity and it gives us more energy for ourselves because we have fewer steps to take. It really helps us because we don’t have to enter the data into CERM like we used to. Now the data goes automatically through MPS.

Integration in action

For MPS, the project is a strong example of how press manufacturer can go beyond machinery to deliver smarter printing. By integrating directly with CER MIS, MPS ensure every press action — from setup to production to reporting — communicates seamlessly with the business system.

This two-way integration means operators spend less time inputting data and more time printing. Meanwhile, management teams gain real-time insights into press performance, job costing, and scheduling.

CERM’s role? Acting as the intelligent hub that connects every step of the workflow — planning, printing, and data analysis — into one automated system.

We integrate with CERM because we believe that a fully automated workflow for the operator is the future of flexo printing, because that helps companies and our customers to improve their OE based on smart insights, but also make the work for the operator more convenient, more automated, and make sure that the job set up can be fully automated.

The power of partnership

This project didn’t just connect systems — it connected teams. The collaboration between ForLabels, MPS, and CERM was built on trust, transparency, and a shared commitment to progress.

Each partner brought its expertise to the table:

  • ForLabels: a visionary converter driving innovation.

  • MPS: a technology leader turning presses into data-drive machines.

  • CERM: the integration backbone enabling automation and insight.

Together, they’ve proven that when innovation meets collaboration, automation becomes a natural outcome — not a future dream.

Showcased at LabelExpo Europe 2025

The success story took center stage at the CERM Studio during LabelExpo Europe 2025, where the collaboration drew the attention of converters eager to see real-world integration at work. Visitors experienced how seamless communication between MIS and press systems can transform daily operations and set new standards for efficiency.

The takeaway?

Automation is not a buzzword — it’s a partnership. And when companies like ForLabels, MPS, and CERM come together, the results is a workflow that’s not only faster and smarter but genuinely built for the future.
