With this role CERM – a global player in MIS for Labels & Packaging - is looking for a sales professional to join our growing team in North America to better serve our existing customers and help to enlarge our footprint in the North American Label and Packaging market. This person reports to the Director of Global Business Development.
Job description: In this role you will,
Manage all sales activities within existing and new customers and partners
Leverage all local CERM resources as well as our Marketing team towards the achievement of your goals
Execute CERM’s sales, marketing and support strategies to ensure highest customer satisfaction
Build and maintain a detailed knowledge of the CERM product and the Label and Packaging market
Provide timely and accurate territory reporting and forecasting to CERM management utilizing our CRM ( Pipedrive) at it’s best
Provide regular feedback to marketing and management regarding the local territory and the CERM products
Communicate regularly with key contacts of customers, prospects and partners through personal visits, video conferences, telephone calls, etc. Travel is required!
Attend and represent CERM at trade shows and open houses
Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets
Manage development of prospects and successful completion of new business sales for software license agreements and consulting services
Implement and execute sales and marketing strategies, optimized for your territory
Facilitate 1st level demos for customers and prospects
Facilitate access and use of additional resources like the CERM ROI calculator in order to provide contacts with comprehensive analysis and diligence of product offering

Are a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Have solid interpersonal skills and are very team oriented
Have at least 3 years of experience in sales and marketing (preferably in a complex software industry or in the Label, Folding Carton, Flexible Packaging industries)
Possess a B.A. or B.S. or equivalent
Have experience selling software and a good technical understanding of software systems
Can manage accounts at a high level within the assigned region
Have excellent presentation and negotiation skills
Have a proven track record of meeting/exceeding both individual and team sales quota/goals
Are confident and experienced in turning cold calls into revenue-generating accounts
Can handle complex technical sales cycles
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The CERM Product Specialist will assist with the pre-sales activity related to the CERM MIS/ERP system with all its options. The Product Specialist will work closely with the Business Development team to achieve the assigned revenue plan for the territory. The location for this position can be flexible since frequent traveling to visit prospects will be needed.
Learn the CERM MIS/ERP product and technologies to offer accurate and professional support. Understand competitive products and positioning and create CERM demo strategies to maximize market share.
Communicate and work closely with the Business Development team on technical requirements, provide training and education, support at events and be an extension to the sales force.
Liason with the Business Development team to leverage CERM resources and capabilities towards revenue achievement.
Execute CERM sales, marketing and support strategies to overachieve revenue and product goals.
Support assigned Resellers in their territory activities: seminars, trade shows and exhibitions.
Provide technical and sales training on new features. This should be in conjunction with the Business Development team, Product Management and Marketing.
Be able to talk about, demonstrate and present the complete CERM system, to a variety of audiences.
Perform technical troubleshooting to insure successful close of business by the Business Development Managers.
Participating and demoing CERM in events such as kickoffs, trainings, trade shows, open houses, and technology fairs etc.
Provide timely and accurate reporting of activity and issues to CERM sales management.
Provide regular feedback to marketing and Product Management regarding the CERM system.
Support the CERM support Business Development team with responses to tenders and RFQ’s
Update the demo database(s) to achieve a state-of-the art environment (working together with the documentation department)
In line with new releases
To demonstrate 'special’ cases AND have these then available in the DB long term
Demonstrate features to existing customers in case of upsell.
Log and assist with the resolution of product issues through CERM support Business Development team
B.A. degree with 5+ years of related experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to to communicate at all levels and experiences in customer situations and training activities.
Autonomous, pro-active personality with good communication skills.
Good understanding of all technology used for Label, Flexible Packing and Folding Carton.
Knowledge and understanding of the market trends.
Ability to independently and proficiently demonstrate all of the above in a pre-sales situation.
Willing to travel for 50 % of the time (expositions, customer sites), and willing to work ‘before/after’ hours (demonstrations to AUS or US or EUR).
First presentations are given remotely. Understanding of remote meeting best practices is therefore required : being empathic, adaptability, gain and keep interest, maintain interaction, asking for feedback.
Superior verbal and written communication.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with label and packaging print production equipment and workflows.
Fluent in English (written and spoken). Any additional languages are a big benefit
Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Ability to work proactively in both independent and team situations.
