New regulations, new tools: E-Invoicing & EUDR

With version 7.34, we’re helping customers prepare for the new E-invoicing rules and the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).

We’ve added a range of new tools and workflows to support your compliance process. However, especially in the case of EUDR, not all details are fully confirmed by governments or institutions. We’ve published two separate articles to explain what’s already possible this CERM 7.34 version update.

Check both articles for a full breakdown of these regulation-related updates:

NEW Partner Integration: CERM now connects with IBIS finishing systems

CERM 7.34 also marks the launch of a new partner integration with IBIS, experts in high-speed bindery finishing systems for digital print. Whether you work inline with continuous-web printers, or offline with feeders or unwinders, all IBIS data is transferred directly via JMF messaging to your CERM MIS Software:

  • The IBIS bindery finishing machine sends “live material usage” data to CERM

  • The IBIS bindery finishing machine shares “which job” is running

  • The IBIS bindery finishing machine communicates real-time machine statuses

All data flows automatically into CERM’s Shop Floor Data Collection (SFDC) module, improving productivity measures by tracking more accurate production data, cost management and reliable time registrations.

Extended “Usage of tools”

As our new Partner Integration with IBIS underlines, accurate Shopfloor Data collection cannot be overestimated. In CERM 7.34, we continue to improve our SFDC module as you can now track the use of all types of print production tools – not just dies – through SKU identification in the SFDC module of your CERM MIS.

  • We track the number of impressions per tool.

  • We track the number of times a tool has been loaded onto a machine.

This new feature helps with tool maintenance planning and cost-per-job control, as you can perfectly manage the amount (the number) of print-runs per print production tool.

Security Enhancement

Structural improvements to the underlying technical architecture of our software solutions are a continuous effort. We’ve upgraded our communication technology to a more modern and secure platform.

This new solution uses Windows’ built-in, continuously updated security system, ensuring stronger protection without requiring software reinstallations. All HTTP-based services now benefit from improved certificate management and a more reliable, up-to-date security foundation—because keeping your data safe is our top priority.
