The CERM–DeCoSystem integration automates the setup of the camera inspection process, helping converters strengthen quality assurance while reducing manual intervention.
Instead of operators manually searching for files and setting up inspection jobs, the integration automatically retrieves the correct job data and approved reference artwork, ensuring that the DeCoSystem inspection system is configured with the right information for every production job.
Automated camera inspection
When the order ID is scanned on the production floor, the DeCoSystem inspection system automatically requests the relevant job data from the CERM MIS. Based on the JDF instructions provided by CERM, the system sets up the corresponding inspection job and loads the correct reference files.
The approved artwork generated by the prepress workflow serves as the single source of truth and is automatically loaded into the inspection system. DeCoSystem can then compare the printed output against the approved reference and perform the required quality checks according to predefined inspection rules.
By connecting CERM MIS and DeCoSystem through JDF communication, converters can create a more automated and reliable quality control workflow, reduce manual setup, minimize the risk of using incorrect files, and ensure that inspection data is always linked to the correct production job.
