CERM O2

A new generation of MIS built for the evolving needs of converters

CERM O2 is a new cloud-based MIS developed specifically for the label, flexible packaging, and folding carton industries.

Built around modern cloud technology, enhanced user experience, increased automation, built-in print industry intelligence, and an API-first approach, O2 brings more than 40 years of CERM industry expertise into a modern platform designed to scale with converters.

Bringing CERM expertise into the cloud

The requirements for an industry-specific MIS are changing.

Shorter print runs, increasing complexity, greater automation needs, deeper integrations, and changing workforce dynamics all require a new approach to managing label and packaging operations.

O2 combines modern cloud technology with CERM's deep understanding of labels and packaging workflows to help converters automate processes, improve productivity, and manage increasingly complex operations.

A cloud-based MIS built for the industry

O2 brings together modern cloud technology, enhanced user experience, automation, and built-in print industry intelligence while maintaining the principles that have been at the core of CERM for decades:

Helping converters automate production processes, improve productivity, and manage increasingly complex operations.

Cloud-based

O2 is a cloud-native MIS, reducing the need for converters to manage their own IT infrastructure while providing access to a modern software environment designed to evolve over time.

Enhanced user experience

The browser-based environment provides an enhanced user experience designed around the needs of modern labels and packaging operations.

Increased automation

Automation is at the core of O2, helping converters digitalize processes and manage growing production complexity more efficiently.

Built-in print industry intelligence

O2 brings more than 40 years of CERM's labels and packaging workflow knowledge into a modern technology stack.

API-first approach

O2 is being developed with an API-first approach, fueling integrations with the growing ecosystem of technologies used throughout label and packaging production.

Designed to scale

The platform provides a foundation that can grow alongside its customers and progressively support increasingly sophisticated production environments and workflows.

More than 40 years of labels & packaging experise

O2 builds on more than four decades of CERM experience developing software specifically for the labels and packaging industry.

Today, CERM's flagship MIS solution, CERM 7, is used by more than 500 companies globally. The acquisition of OMIKAI in 2025 brought additional cloud development experience and technology into CERM, helping accelerate the development of this new generation of MIS software.

“Our team has traditionally been very strong at covering labels-and-packaging-specific needs and functionality through our well-proven CERM 7 suite of products. We continue that development while now adding a next-generation, cloud-native MIS product to our offering, built by a dedicated team, that relieves customers from IT infrastructure and security concerns, while giving them access to 40 years of Labels and Packaging industry workflow experience in a modern stack.”

Starting focused. Designed to scale.

O2 will initially target specific use cases for small and medium-sized converters that can benefit from digitalization and automation without requiring the depth and complexity of a traditional enterprise MIS implementation.

The first version of O2 is primarily centered on label converters. Functionality focused specifically on flexible packaging and folding carton production will be added in a second phase.

As O2 evolves, the platform will progressively support increasingly sophisticated production environments and workflows.
