Automating your finishing process with the CERM - ABG integration
The ABG finishing machine turns semi-finished goods, like printed rolls, into a final product that’s ready for shipping. Depending on the exact configuration of your ABG machine, the CERM MIS will send a JDF file with the required instructions for the applicable finishings (e.g., die Cutting, slitting, hotfoil, varnish, etc.)
SKU labeling of finished goods
After all job instructions have been received, the ABG machine automatically performs a setup to execute the required finishing job and optionally print and apply a closure label on each finished roll with a unique SKU identifier that links it to the printing job within the CERM MIS.
Bidirectional JDF-JMF data exchange
The ABG finishing machine uses real-time JMF messages to automatically report back on job status, operator ID, device status, waste production and counter values. All of this results in a fully automatic registration of roll material consumption and time spent on jobs.
