At LOUPE Americas 2026 - from September 15th to 17th at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Chicago - visitors will have the unique opportunity to join the fictional company “Dancing Fish” and face the challenges of printing new labels.

The Label Trail tells the unique story of how its fictional nutrition brand "Dancing Fish" needs new labels for its products to meet new market demands, whilst measuring and reducing its carbon footprint. To ensure product authenticity and consumer safety, brand protection features need to be integrated into the labels of its new nutritional supplements line. The Label Trail encompasses every stage of the label creation journey—from job specification, order handling, prepress and automated carbon footprinting to digital printing, embellishment, and finishing.

This tour takes you along all stages of the modern production process and the latest innovations in the industry. Participants will gain insights into low impact materials, carbon and energy-saving processes, smart packaging technologies, and the software keeping it all together.

Each tour will be guided by a subject matter expert who will provide rich background information about the workflow process, about state of the art innovations and about the label industry in general.
