What you'll do
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our growing team to help enlarge our footprint in the European Flexible Packaging and Folding Carton market. This person will report to the Director of Global Business Development.
In this role you will:
Actively help to grow CERM’s presence in the Folding Carton segment and manage all Business Development and sales activities with new customers in the Flexible Packaging and Folding Carton space.
Execute CERM’s sales and marketing strategies to ensure increasing CERM’s market share in the Flexible Packaging and Folding Carton segment
Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets
Manage development of prospects and successful completion of new business sales for software through regular communication with key contacts of prospects through personal visits and remote meetings.
Attend and represent CERM at trade shows and open houses
Build and maintain a detailed knowledge of the CERM product and the Packaging market with the focus on Folding Cartons
Provide timely and accurate territory reporting and forecasting to CERM management utilizing our CRM ( Zoho) at its best
Provide regular feedback to marketing and management regarding the local territory and the CERM products
Facilitate 1st level demos for customers and prospects
Facilitate access and use of additional resources like the CERM ROI calculator in order to provide contacts with comprehensive analysis and diligence of product offering.
What makes you a great fit
- You are a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- +3 years of experience in sales and marketing either in ERP software sales or in the Label, Folding Carton and Flexible Packaging industries.
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding both individual and team sales quota/goals
- You have Business Development Experience to build up new sales markets and territories
- You can manage accounts at a high level within the assigned region
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
- Solid interpersonal skills and are very team oriented
- Good technical understanding of software systems
- You are confident and experienced in turning cold calls into revenue-generating accounts
- You can handle complex technical sales cycles
- Willingness to travel nationally or internationally for 40% of your time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and at least one additional language like German, French, Spanish or Italian.
- Ability to work from your home office
