#MeetTheTeam - Meet Nate Hoogeboom: From Process Challenges to Smarter MIS Workflows
For Nate Hoogeboom, finding the right solution starts with understanding how the work actually gets done. Before joining CERM, his career took him from animal feed and pet supply distribution into manufacturing and eventually the label industry — giving him first-hand experience with the operational challenges businesses face every day.

Today, as an MIS Implementation Specialist at CERM in the Americas, Nate works closely with customers to understand their processes, tackle challenges, and find smarter ways of working with CERM. What he enjoys most is the variety: every customer, workflow, and implementation brings something new to learn and a different problem to solve.
In this edition of #MeetTheTeam, we get to know Nate, hear more about his unconventional path into the label and packaging industry, and discover what he values most about being part of CERM’s global team.
Q&A: Get to Know Nate
Q1: What’s your role at CERM, and what do you love about it?
Nate: So I’m Nate Hoogeboom, and I work with CERM in the Americas as an MIS Implementation Specialist.
What I really love about working at CERM is that there’s always something new to do. No two days are exactly the same, and there’s always a new challenge, customer, or process to learn about.
That variety is something I really enjoy.
Q2: What project are you most proud of working on at CERM?
Nate: One project I’m especially proud of was working with a customer where we were able to really understand their processes and find better ways of doing things with CERM.
For me, that’s one of the most rewarding parts of implementation work. Every customer works a little differently, so it’s about looking at their workflows, understanding the challenges they’re facing, and helping them build a setup that works better for their business.
Seeing those improvements come together and knowing that the work we’ve done can make a real difference in their day-to-day operations is something I’m very proud of.
Q3: What’s something your colleagues might not know about you?
Nate: I actually didn’t start in the label industry at all.
I started in animal feed and distributed pet supplies. I drove trucks and traveled all over, bringing pet supplies, toys, and treats to people.
That’s really what got me started in manufacturing. Since I used a lot of labels in that industry, I eventually found my way into the label world — and now here I am at CERM.
Q4: What makes working at CERM great?
Nate: It’s great being part of a global organization that still feels like family.
Even though we’re spread across more than 20 time zones, we still have many opportunities to interact with colleagues around the world, share best practices, and learn new ways of doing things from people with different experiences and perspectives.
That international collaboration is something I really appreciate about working at CERM.
