Business Development Manager - North America

You will report to the Director of Global Business Development and you are preferably based in the Central Region of the United States or Canada.

What you'll do

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our growing team in North America. In this role, you will support our existing customers and contribute to expanding our footprint in the North American label and packaging market.

In this role you will :

  • Actively pursue new sales and manage all sales activities within existing and new customers and partners

  • Execute CERM’s sales, marketing and support strategies to ensure highest customer satisfaction in the territory

  • Build and maintain a detailed knowledge of the CERM product and the Label and Packaging market

  • Provide timely and accurate territory reporting and forecasting to CERM management utilizing our CRM ( Zoho) at its best

  • Provide regular feedback to marketing and management regarding the local territory and the CERM products

  • Communicate regularly with key contacts of customers, prospects and partners through personal visits, video conferences, telephone calls, etc.

  • Attend and represent CERM at trade shows and open houses

  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets

  • Manage development of prospects and successful completion of new business sales for software license agreements and consulting services

  • Implement and execute sales and marketing strategies, optimized for your territory

  • Facilitate 1st level demos for customers and prospects

  • Facilitate access and use of additional resources like the CERM ROI calculator in order to provide contacts with comprehensive analysis and diligence of product offering

What makes you a great fit

  • Are a self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Have solid interpersonal skills and are very team oriented
  • +3 years of experience in sales and marketing (preferably in a complex software industry or in the Label, Folding Carton, Flexible Packaging industries)
  • Have experience selling software and a good technical understanding of software systems
  • Can manage accounts at a high level within the assigned region
  • Have excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Have a proven track record of meeting/exceeding both individual and team sales quota/goals
  • Are confident and experienced in turning cold calls into revenue-generating accounts
  • Can handle complex technical sales cycles
  • Are willing to travel nationally or internationally for up to 50% of your time
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and possible French. (Any additional language skills would be highly welcome).
  • Have the ability to work out of your home office
