We're looking for a hands-on, analytically strong Finance Controller who takes ownership of accurate financial reporting, financial controls, budgeting and forecasting.

  • Location: Oostkamp, Belgium (CERM HQ)

  • Role : Full-time, payroll

  • Reporting to : Finance director

What you'll do

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you'll play a key role in ensuring reliable financial information, strengthening our financial processes and turning numbers into meaningful insights that support business decisions. You'll work closely with the Finance team, Sales, Customer Services and Management across CERM.

And you won't stop at the core financials. You enjoy spotting inefficiencies, simplifying processes and exploring how automation and AI tools can make financial operations faster and more reliable.

Own financial reporting & control

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated reporting: P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, KPI’s and financial analysis.
• Review the general ledger, safeguard data quality and deliver reporting on time, in line with the closing calendar, accounting standards and company policies.
• Support consolidation and group reporting where applicable.
• Strengthen internal controls and financial processes so the business can rely on its financial information.

Drive planning, performance & business partnering

• Coordinate and prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts, and analyse variances and key performance drivers.
• Monitor cost structures and financial KPIs, spot efficiency opportunities and turn your findings into clear recommendations and action plans.
• Partner with Sales, Customer Services and Management to support sound, data-driven business decisions and process improvements.

Improve & automate how Finance works

• Identify opportunities to simplify and improve financial processes, reporting and internal controls.
• Roll up your sleeves to implement practical improvements and automate repetitive tasks.
• Explore and experiment with digital tools and AI to improve efficiency, accuracy and data quality within Finance.

What makes you a great fit

  • A Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in controlling, accounting or a similar finance role.
  • Solid knowledge of Belgian GAAP, accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting and consolidation software. Knowledge of Exact Online and Lucanet is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy and the ability to work independently.
  • Fluent communication skills in Dutch and English, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.

The mindset you bring to the team

  • You have a strong interest in digital tools, automation and AI.
  • You're hands-on and solution-oriented, and you enjoy improving processes.
  • You feel at home in a versatile, agile Finance & Administration team and a fast-paced international environment.

Why you'll love working @ CERM

• Real ownership and impact: a varied role with a direct impact on financial performance and operational efficiency.

• Room to improve and innovate: the chance to reshape financial processes and drive practical digitalisation and automation initiatives.

• A team that has your back: a collaborative team in a growing international software company with a familiar, inclusive culture that encourages innovation.

• Growth and rewards: a competitive salary and benefits package, with opportunities for professional development and training.
