HR Manager
Ready to build the people strategy behind our growth?
CERM is a dynamic and innovative software company specializing in advanced MIS/ERP solutions for the label and packaging printing industry. With over 30 years of industry experience, we are committed to delivering high-quality, efficient, and scalable software products that empower printing businesses to streamline operations and boost productivity. As we continue expanding our team — currently around 100 colleagues and growing by roughly 15 people a year — and our global presence in 14 countries, we are looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead HR strategy and people practices across the organization.
Location: Oostkamp (Hybrid)
Role: Full time, payroll
Reporting to: CEO
Manages: HR Business Partner
What you'll do
As HR Manager, you own the strategic and people-policy agenda for CERM as we scale. You translate business priorities into HR strategy, build fair and transparent compensation practices, grow our talent pipeline from within, and act as a trusted sparring partner to the Management Team. You lead and coach our HR Business Partner, who takes care of the day-to-day operational HR work.
• HR Strategy & Policy: Define and drive the HR strategy and policy framework, aligned with CERM's growth ambitions and international expansion.
• Compensation & Pay Transparency: Design and maintain a fair, competitive, and transparent compensation and benefits framework, keeping CERM aligned with evolving pay transparency expectations and legislation.
• Talent Aquisition, Development & Training: Build structured recruitment channels and policies, structure talent development and training programs that support career growth, skills development, and internal mobility as the company scales.
• Retention Strategy: Develop and own a strategic retention approach — identifying key risks, engagement drivers, and long-term measures to keep CERM's talent engaged and growing with the company.
• HR Data & Reporting: Set up HR dashboards and reporting that give the Management Team clear, data-driven insight into workforce trends, turnover, engagement, and HR KPIs.
• Strategic Sparring with MT: Act as a strategic sparring partner to the Management Team on organizational design, workforce planning, and people-related decisions.
• Leading the HR Team: Lead, coach, and support the HR Business Partner, who is responsible for payroll, recruitment & onboarding, comp & ben administration, day-to-day retention and employee guidance, operational MT sparring, HR projects, fleet, and company events.
What makes you a great fit
- Several years of experience in a senior HR role (HR Manager, senior HR Business Partner, or similar), ideally within a scale-up, tech, or international environment.
- Demonstrated experience designing compensation & benefits frameworks, with an interest in or working knowledge of pay transparency practices and legislation.
- A strategic mindset paired with genuine interest in translating business goals into concrete HR policy and people programs, both locally and internationally.
- Experience building talent development, training, or retention programs from the ground up.
- Comfortable working with HR data and translating it into insights and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication and influencing skills; confident acting as a sparring partner to a Management Team.
- People-management experience, or a clear readiness to take on your first direct report.
- Fluency in Dutch and English (written and spoken); any additional language is a plus given CERM's international footprint.
